Extreme Clutter: Bathroom Makeover And Organizing
The bathroom is a small room, but it could really get cluttered. Extreme clutter would surely need a bathroom makeover and organizing. You would need to have enough storage space to reduce the clutter and at the same time, make sure that it would also be stylish.
Major bathroom problems would be about having too many things that you are actually using. For all we know, there can be expired materials in your bathroom. Because things are overflowing, it means that there is no enough space to store it in. For families, bathrooms could get untidy because family members tend to neglect their things or there is nothing that would separate their personal things.
Daily clutter when not given enough attention would result into chaos. It would be more difficult for you to clean and organize things. You should keep a daily de-cluttering routine. Aside from that, there are easy organizing tips which you could do.
The first step to do is to separate the things that should and should not be in your bathroom. For example, expired shampoo or any kinds of bottles are not supposed to stay on the counter or in your cupboards. Their place is in the trash bin. Whatever it is that is inside the bathroom that you do not need, dispose it. Some stuff that are still usable can be given away to charitable organizations.
Not everything that you may need in the bathroom stays in the room. Only keep the things that you are actually using. Maximize other storage areas in the house. You could put away the extra towels, wash cloths and personal care stuff in a cabinet outside the bathroom. Just leave the towels that you would actually need.
The stuff that you would actually need should be in locations where you could easily access it. The items that you frequently use should be in the front part of the drawers or the cupboards. This would save you time from looking and at same time would create less mess. For example you do not put make-up or perfumes where children would be able to reach it.
Once you are done going through the things that you need and do not need, you may need to go shopping for some organization supplies. It is important to do shopping after you are done with the inventory, so you would not buy unnecessary items. You could try buy shampoo dispensers, this would clean up all the bottles of shampoos and conditioners littered in your bathroom.
If you are planning to get additional storage space, put function first before style. Start thinking creatively, you could use different items at home as storage space, that is if you do not want to spend to much on storage. There are various options for storage, you could use cutlery trays, plastic shelves, and rolling carts.
Having a great bathroom could actually be summed up in three major points:
• De-cluttering. Which is all about removing junk and unnecessary items.
• Clean bathroom. It is best to use natural cleaning items, since it would be safer for you and your family to have chemical free cleaning items.
• Simplicity. Things are always more beautiful when kept simple.
There are experts saying that if you would keep your bathroom or any room organized for three weeks, then you would not remember any other way of doing so. Extreme clutter does not need an extreme bathroom makeover, it just needs some organizing.
